Conference fatigue is a real thing. The brightest and best talent, speakers, sponsors and partners… so many conferences… another industry gathering, more PowerPoint, another impressive keynote for the hottest new entrepreneur. Sigh.
Change it up! Creating an inspiring and open environment encourages participation and better interaction, which leads to productive dialogue, learning and innovation. When you think about why you need an event, the message you want to share, or the action you need to inspire, the space you create will either help you achieve these results or make your job of communicating very difficult.
People and businesses continue to need conference events, but we are human; we shift in our seats, tap out emails in a darkened back row, sit near the exits to get out ahead of the coffee break rush in order to meet delegates and strike up quality discussion. There is no replacement for the value that face to face interaction delivers – time and again we hear people say that it’s the networking and the conversations in the break times that really inspire them to learn and innovate.
be-good have a different approach, one which keeps the energy and appetite for learning alive: we flip the conference experience over. Our events are carefully calibrated, prepared for the unexpected and enable participants to contribute, improvise and take the agenda forward. We give the audience their voice and the right environment to share their talent and inspire one another.
It is this self-determination that drives openness, fosters sharing and incubates original, great ideas. We build a forum for dialogue and learning, not monologues followed by frantic coffee break networking. With the right level of disruption we allow ideas to flow and innovation to fly.
The conference is like a start-up or summer camp - and those are two experiences that are highly correlated with inventive thinking.

Tried finding a boring person during the conference; happy to say I failed.
