“A very collaborative environment for many people to work together”
Unifying 5 global brand agencies: Brand Union, The Partners, Lambie-Nairn, Addison and VBAT, into a single company, called for a significant launch event. With a combined staff of 750, in 23 offices, across 18 countries, this new agency had super-sized proportions to match its moniker – yet it was crucial it’s launch event created a sense of intimacy and unity.
be-good were given 2 months to devise a launch to reflect SuperUnion’s strong desire for a new, collaborative environment, where many people from differing backgrounds could work together.
Our deconstructed approach lent itself well to creating a space that kick-started this process. We create events that break down cultural and organisational barriers, to create new connections and unite disparate groups. Our aim was for five agencies to arrive, yet only one leave.
Held at the St Luke’s, this large, classical auditorium with gallery was an impactful space, that suited the importance of the occasion. We used juxtaposed against this scale and grandeur with deconstructed staging, contemporary furniture and informal activities. In this way, 250 guests felt the scale and significance of the launch whilst being able reach out and befriend new colleagues.
Guest-fact bingo cards encouraged interaction and the space was reset – whilst guests prepared for a massive group shot taken from the gallery – deliberately blurring front and backstage. This controlled chaos reenergised the group, and further broke down barriers with humour as guests dodged chairs, laughed and even pitched in to help.
Drinks and DJ followed with a range of insta-worthy canapés, including miniature fish and chips and hunt-your-own truffles in oak leaves.
