Position Summary
We are seeking a freelance Junior Logistics Manager to work within a small team based in the client London office to deliver workshops around the UK.
Candidate needs to be trustworthy, motivated, and capable of rising to the challenge when client needs extra support. They will work closely with our Event Managers embedded within the client team. They will need to respond to requests in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of operations, both at the client office and onsite at events. This junior role is important to ensure that momentum across projects is maintained and the communication is continuous and positive for all stakeholders.
You will work with a fascinating and varied community of academics, and you will be supported within a positive, highly driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Tasks:
In any week you may address some of the following tasks (this list is not exhaustive):
- Diary coordination of workshops for the Directors;
- Corresponding with suppliers and contractors for their workshops;
- Templates - schedules, PPT documents, meeting notes;
- Team communications and information sharing;
- Filing of documents and information sharing between stakeholders.
Events:
- Logistics Support for a busy calendar of events
- Venue research;
- Supplier communications;
- Workshop preparation, assets and materials;
- Catering schedules and supervision;
- Transport and travel bookings & schedules;
- Client & Programme Director communications on behalf of Event Managers.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience delivering quality service in a busy environment.
Strong attitude to problem solving and working at pace with numerous stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, storytelling, interpersonal skills.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to operate both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
